Hi All,

This is my first attempt at blogging and I have no idea what I’m doing.  Here goes.

Randy, also known as Joe to most of you, and I took a trip to the Black Hills to shake down Monte.  Although it rained and was cloudy most of the time.  We still had a great time and Monte ran beautifully.  Back in Scottsbluff I parked at the Davey’s to keep an eye on the place and tend the animals - love that Brandy girl and the 3 horses, they’re great- while they went to Illinois for a birthday party.  I also have a few repairs to take care of for Monte and my car so may be here a few days longer than I anticipated.  As soon as everything is in tip-top shape we’re headed to Lincoln to see Linda for a few days and then on to Missouri.  So, dear friends and family, the adventure has begun.  I’m still getting used to not having to stick to a schedule - no small task for someone who has lived by schedules all her life.  So when I say I’ll see some of you on a certain date, remember, the date and time is tentative.  I may be a day off or so.  I’ll try to let you know in advance so you don’t worry. 

Once I figure out how to work my pictures into the blog I’ll be showing you where I’ve been.  All the new electronics is taxing my non technical brain.

I’m happy to say that Toby is adjusting to this vagabond life pretty well.  At least so far.  He has adopted the Davey’s as his second home and loves to roam the pastures.  The challenge is to try to keep him from eating “road apples”.  Seems to be a dog thing to do, yuck!  But otherwise, he’s my companion, watchdog (loves to bark at strangers and sometimes friends), and all around sweetie pie. 

I’m going to upload this now and see what happens.
